ENGLISH CHEMISTS REWARDED. 1921-22 AWARDS. By Telegraph- —Press Assn. —Copyright. Stockholm, Nov. 10. The Nobel prizes are awarded as follow: For physics for 1921, to Herr Einstem; for 1922 to Professor Neils Bohr, of GopenLng The, literature prize for 1922 goes to a Spaniard, .Jacinto Benevento, formerly a pantomime clown, then an actor, and afterwards a writer of dramas. The Chemistry prize lor 1921 went to Professor Soddy, of Oxford, and that for 1922 to Mr. Francis William Aston, of Lambridge. . (Professor Soddy was trained under Sir Ernest Rutherford, and had done exeotleint work in radio-activity. His book Matte, and Energy” in the Home University L>hrarv is a very readable account of modern advances in science. Mr. Ashton is a research fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, and his publications are of a somewhat technical character.)
