This will be the last possible occasion that the film can be shown as the copy screening at lEverybody’s must be on tomorrow’s mail train en route for the South. Island. The second copy of “The Four Horsemen'’ has been showing in South Taranaki during the week and to-night will be screened at the Theatre Royal, Waitara. Waitara residents can reserve seats at the usual box plan depot, and local patrons can book for tonight at Collier’s. THE PEOPLE’S. DOUBLE PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT. The management of the People’s announce a two feature programme for tonight. “The Man Who Married His Own Wife,” starring the popular star Frank Mayo, and one of the most stirring of all Secret Service stories, “The Man Who Wouldn’t Tell,” featuring Earle Williams. With remarkable sea and shipwreck scenes, “The Man Who .Married His Own Wife” is quite an unusual love story, which captures the interest, and excites the curiosity of the audience. For a man to change his identity with a view to capturing the love of the girl he married and succeeding in that aim is extraordinary enough in itself, but the story is remarkably well told and convincing withal. Earl Williams has portrayed many characters, but none so convincing as that -of Burke the Secret Service agent in “The Man Who Wouldn’t Tell.” He wore the Victoria Cross next his heart, which he had won on the. 'battlefields of France, yet he had to suffer and endure in silence the insults and scorn of the girl he loved dearly, and be pointed at as a slacker and a coward. How he foils German “U” boat plotters, and brings the chief German spy to justice is only one of a few thrills which the picture teems with. Miss Grace Darmond. as Elinor Warden, supports Mr. Williams in a thriller you can’t easily forget. The above programme is showing at the usual prices.
