BIG PRODUCTION INCREASE. LATEST GRADING FIGURES. By Telecrriph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. W. Singleton. Director of the Dairy Division, reports that the quantities ’of butter graded during October, 1922, were: Salted 155,589 cwt., unsalted 18,074 cwt„ a total of 173,613 cwt., against 108,805 last year, an increase of 59.56 per eent. The total for the three months ended October is 325,609 cwt., against 185,811, an increase of 75.23 per. Cheese graded during October, 1922, amounted to: White 39 411 cwt„ colored 22,5S0ewt„ a total of 61.991 cwt., against, 101,765 cwt. last year. The total for three months ended October is: White 47,447 cwt. and colored 26.85.5 cwt., a total of 74,302 cwt., against 141,615 last year, a decrease of 47.53 per cent. In butter-fat figures the three months show an increase of 43.10 per cent, in production over last year.
