DISCUSSIONS AT CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Honolulu, Nov. 3. International relations in the Pacific, particularly with reference to arbitration on commercial misunderstandings and the need for the co-operation of various agencies interested in solving Pacific problems, were discussed at the Pan-Pacific Conference. The urgency for goodwill among Pacific countries was stressed, and the need for commercial 00-operation in the Pacific was declared to have never been so great as to-day. . Subsequently the resolutions committee presented a recommendation that the Pan-Pacific Union call a conversation congress to meet at Honolulu in 1924 to considei’ the question of taking action to protect fish mammals of the Pacific Ocean.

Other resolutions urge the union to investigate the desirableness of organising a permanent Pan-Pacific Chamber of Commerce, the hope being expressed that the Governments interested would contribute to its upkeep.
