NEW PRODUCE MARKET.
TRADE WITH MANCHESTER. By Telegraph.—Preaa Association. Sydney, November 3. Captain William Wade, representative of the Manchester Ship Canal Company, was accorded a civic reception. He explained that the canal had cost £6,000,000, which, was guaranteed by rates of Manchester. Instead of being a burden, the company was enabled last year to allocate £35,000 out of the profits for the relief of rates. Fifty-seven per cent., of the meat sold in Manchester came from Naw Zealand and Aim tralia, through London. The demand would greatly increase if it was landed direct to Manchester, thus eliminating the railway changes land extra handling.
