EGGS AS CURRENCY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Berlin, Nov. 1. The Barbers Union at Ochsenfurt, Bavaria, decided, in view of the high cost of living, that it ia useless further to increase the charges. Henceforth customers >.vill pay in eggs, instead of money. The charges are a shave for two eggs, and a haircut for four. Supplies received will be pooled and marketed BEET SUGAR PRODUCTION. London, Nov. 1. Mr. F. O. Licht, sugar expert at Madgeburgh, has resumed the publication of statistics, and estimates that the European beet sugafr production for the year ending August was 2,936,21S tons, as compared with 2,712,713 for the previous year.
