Wyndham Heathcote last night gave an address in the interests of the tirade. There was only a moderate attendance in the Town Hall, the Mayor (Mr. J. W l . McMillan) presiding. The meeting was a lively one, considerably broken by interjectors. At the conclusion the speaker was accorded a vote of thanks. The following cricket team will represent the Stratford club against. Excelsior on the Stratford A. and P. grounds at 2 p.m. on Saturday:—L. G. Furnie, E. C. Cole, C. M. Young, D. Young, G. Knight, A. H. Richmond, W. Redmond, C. Gattan, F. T. Hale, C. Massey, E. M. Beere. Reserves. R. F. Thomas and R. Hill. The residents of Stratford and district are notified that Ernest Davies, the London qualified sight-testing optician, visits Stratford every Tuesday, and may he consulted at Mr. Gaffaney’s, Broadway.
