READY FOR BATTLE.
PREMIER TO TOUR COUNTRY. 1 SHORT AND SHARP CAMPAIGN. (By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. The members of the House have scattered to their homes with great rapidity, and scarcely one of them was to be found about the Parliamentary Buildings to-day. Some of the Ministers are gone also, and the others will follow quickly. They all realise that the election fight is going to be short and sharp. Mr. Massey has arranged to go north at the end of the week. He will make his opening speech in his own electorate, and will then undertake a fighting tour through the Dominion, making speeches at many centres. He informed, your correspondent this evening that he felt in excellent form for the fray and was prepared to keep his political opponents busy until election day. Mr. Wilford also is preparing to move about the country, though he has greater cause than Mr. Massdy has to pay attention to his own electorate.
