THE COUNTRY PARTY.
NO CANDIDATES STANDING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. In regard to the Country Party, it is definitely announced that it will have no candidates in the field in the present election. A statement by Mr. A. A. Ross, the official leader of the party, adds: “This doesn’t mean we are disbanded. We intend to keep ready for the fray and will be heard of again and making our influences felt when occasion requires.”
