ATHLETICS.

HAWERA TECHNICAL COLLEGE SPORTS. The invitation race at the Hawera Technical College sports yesterday was run over 220 yards. New Plymouth High School, Stratford Technical High School, New Plymouth Technical College, and Hawera Technical College were represented. The race provided a good contest, being won by M. Gray (Hawera Technical College), who defeated H. W. Brown (New Plymouth High School) by a yard and a half A. Dickson (New Plymouth Technical College) and A. M. Moyes (New Plymouth High School) dead-heated for third place.
