PORT STATISTICS.
NEW PLYMOUTH RETURNS. Twenty vessels of an aggregate tonnage of 14,900 tons called at the port Plymouth during the last four weekly period. The imports represented 7714 tons, and the exports 1038 tons, making a total of 8752 tons of cargo handled. ‘For the corresponding period of the previous year 24 vessels entered the port, their tonnage being 36,896 tons. Imports represented 8782 tons, and exports 2230 tons, making a total of 11,012 tons of cargo handled. The large decrease in the tonnage of vessels entering the port during the last month compared with the previous year is accounted for by the fact that 12 months ago the number of vessels included three Home liners, whereas during the last four weeks no overseas veaeel ibarthed at- th® /
