LIGHT-WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The light-weight wrestling championship of New Zealand was decided here on Saturday night, the. contestants being Tommy " a J^ er (holder) and Jack Devine, of Kaitangata. The challenger is a much heavier man, but Walker was the more clever of the pair and won two of the throe bouts. Walker won the first bout in 8 min. 35 sec., throwing Devine with an arm roll. The second bout was more evenly contested, and lasted 6»/ 2 minutes, when Devine threw his opponent with a body scissors hold. The third bout was only of three minutes’ duration, and at the end of that time Walker brought Devine to the ground with a buttock hold and finished the fall with a cradle hold. It was a clean bout, contested in the best spirit.
