EATIRYBODY’S MATINEE TO-DAY AT 2 P.M. The attraction at Everybody’s this afternoon and to-night will be a five reel comedy drama entitled “Up in Mary’s Attic”. It is primarily a farcecomedy with burlespue trimmings. But it can also be called a comic melodrama. Take a ridiculous scene or two away and it could be called a straight dramatic entertainment. So it should appeal to all classes. It is crammed full of rich incident, characterization heart interest, human appeal, sympathy, rare comedy, beauty, and oh! the gayest galaxy of girls that ever adorned’ a picture, a garden of girls which might do credit to Ziegfeld’s Midnight Frolic. The supporting programme includes the seventh episode of “AA 7 inners of the AA 7 est” and a two reel comedy “Falling for Fanny.” “THE SILVER HGRDE.” MONDAY. “AA 7 ay up in the frozen stretches of Alaska, nine tenths of a man’B law rests in the barrel of a gun, and the flinty hardness of bare fists. Men are made or unmade in a clash of fists —a sudden “draw” of irons. Cunning and trickery to them is the weapon of the snake—and answered only by the vehement spit of a well aimed shot. So when Marsh with his Eastern polish and AA 7 all Street millions hit the Kalvik trail to gain control of the great ’salmon trap'’, he found his cunning pitted against the might and courage of the Great North. And the struggle that followed, resounded with the clash of leashed passions of strong men fighting for fortune and the love of a woman. Such is the theme of Rex Beach’s famous ' story “The Silver Horde” screening at Everybody’s Theatre on Monday and Tuesday. The snow scenes alone are worth seeing, and the producers have cleverly introduced some wonderfully interesting scenes of the salmon industry taken at Lummi Island, in Puget Sound. There are a number of fine supporting films including one of the famous “Mermaid” two reel comedies “The Greenhorn,” The prices for the big super-programme will be 2/- and 1/6, and seats can now be reserved at Collier’s.
