CHARGE OF THEFT.

HARBOR OFFICIAL ARRESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A sensation was caused to-day by the arrest of John Madson, permanent storeman in charge of the Harbor Board’s store, on a charge of alleged theft of property valued at £79. A large quantity of wearing apparel, etc., was seized at Madson’s home. Accused liae for years occupied a responsible position on the waterfront.
