TILDEN’S FINGER INJURED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. New York, October 26. A Philadelphia telegram states that a slight operation has been performed on the middle finger of Tilden's right hand, which became infected after a scratch. The sensational reports that Tilden may never again play in championship tennis are not warranted, the doctors belittling the danger. They say the finger is improving, though it may take six weeks to heal.
