IN SUSPENSE.
DAIRY POOL BILL. I , NO FURTHER MOVE MADE. QUESTION ON ORDER PAPER. (By Wire—Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. The report of the special committee recommending that the Dairy Pool Bill should be allowed to proceed was on the order paper of the House for further discussion this afternoon, but the House did not reach it. A debate arose early in the afternoon regarding the Wellington milk supply. Some farmers in the neighborhood ot the city had represented by petition that they had suffered a severe loss through the action of the City Council in taking control of the city milk supply and excluding private vendors. The Agricultural and Stock Committee made a sympathetic report, and the question was argued all the afternoon. The Prime Minister might have brought the committee’s report forward again in the evening by consent of the House, but he did not attempt to do so. The Dairy Pool Bill, therefore, remains in suspense. It cannot proceed until the House has received the report, which was “talked out” yesterday.
