BAN ON BOXING.
DECISION IN ARGENTINE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 26, 11.45 p.m. Buenos Ayres. Oct. 26. As a result of the Firpo-Tracey fight boxing bouts have been forbidden here. The match caused very great interest and drew the largest crowd which has ever attended a similar spectacle in South America. Socialist members of the City Council, immediately after the fight, condemned the proceedings, and declared the permit for the bout was granted under the misapprehension that it was to be an exhibition of pugilistic ability, and not a prize fight. The council, after several stormy sessions, finally revoked all boxing permits in the city.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
