AN OPUNAKE CASE. (To the Editor.) Sir, —in your Opunftke notes, reference is made to the case, McKeown v. McCann. Your report Is in error, and you might kindly alter it in yoyr next Issue as follows: —The claim was for £75 (not £35, as reported) for loss and damages sustained through the alleged fraudulent misrepresentation of the defendant as to the sexes of the sheep sold. The Magistrate found that there was no proof of fraud, but that there had been a breach of warranty on the part of the defendant. Judgment was given for £25 with costs as on that amount.' and solicitor’s fee and expenses for six out of seven witnesses. No expenses were allowed an ex-servant of the defendant, by whose evidanco the plaintiff attempted to prove fraud. Defendant was allowed solicitor’s fee, £2 2s, and expenses for three witnesses for one day. Security for appeal was fixed at £lO. Mr. E. ?•!. Beechey appeared for the plaintiff, and v-.
