POLITICAL CAMPAIGN.
THE STRATFORD SEAT. Mr. J. B. Hine (Reform) addressed a meeting, attended by about 250, at Inglewood last night. The speaker received an enthusiastic reception, and at the conclusion of his address a vote of thanks was passed, on the motion of Messrs. A. W. Yeates and R. Bakewell. The resolution added that “it was unnecessary to add a vote of confidence, as Inglewood had always shown that at the ballot-box.” THE EGMONT SEAT. Mr. Astbury (Liberal-Labor) addressed the electors at the Riverdale factory on Monday night. Although the night was a rough one, between 20 and 30 electors (a number of ladies included) were present. Mr. McKay presided. A vote of thanks to the speaker, moved by Mr. Snowden and seconded, was carried with applause.
