THREAT TO HOSPITAL. CHILDREN PATIENTS SAVED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received October 23, 7 p.m. Paris, Oct. 22. Fire gutted Herron Schmidt’e tannery works near the Place Republic. The damage amounts to four million francs. It spread to the children’s quarters of the Saint Louis Hospital, where it was checked after the children were hurriedly rescued in their nignt clothes.
