PREVALENCE OF CRIME.
ANXIETY IN SYDNEY By Telegraph.—Press Asan.—Copyright. Sydney, Oct. 20. The growing prevalence of crime is causing the Government and police authorities grave concern. The Premier has summoned a conference to discuss the question. One of the matters for discussion is the inadequacy of sentences, on which there has been strong comment for some time by Judges and the Police Department.
