PENALTY STRUCK OUT. (By Wire. —Parliamentary Reporter.) Wellington, Last Night. The Statues Revision Committee, in revising the Rating Amendment Bill, has struck out the clause authorising the imposition of a five per cent, penalty after three months and a ten per cent, penalty after six months on unpaid ratee. It has also fixed three years instead of four as the longest period within which rates due may be recovered.
