WOMAN CERTIFIED AS INSANE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 19. The woman, over whose detention in Avondale Asylum a good deal of discussion took place recently, after strenuous protests by the Rev. Mason, of Otahuhu, was to-day re-committed to the mental hospital as insane by a magistrate. A lodging-house keeper gave evidence as to the extraordinary delusions held by the woman and the local constable said the woman was certainly insane.
