DROP IN WORLD'S DEMAND.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Oct. 13, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Oct. 12.
•Practically no champagne has been made in France this year, chiefly owing to the “dry” regime in America and the high tariffs of other countries. Producers declare they hold bigger champagne stocks than they can possibly «ell. There i no longer sufficient outlet and the trade is unable to buy this year’s frop of champagne grapes.—United Serfice.
