Mr. G. E. Mannering, manager of the Christchurch branch of the" Union Bank of Australia, was a passenger from England by the Ruahine this week. He is accompanied by Mrs. Mannering.

Resolutions of sympathy were passed to the relatives of the late Mrs. W. A. Collis and the late Mr. H. Broadmore at last night’s annual meeting of the Pukekura Park Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Mr. Arthur Ambury has been elected a life member of the Pukekura Park Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in recognition of his* past valuable services to the club.
