GENERAL ELECTIONS.
THE MOTUEKA SEAT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, October 11 Robert Patterson, a member of the Nelson Land Board and other local bodies, will contest the Motueka seat in the Liberal-Labor interests, Mr. •Scantlebury (Liberal) retiring in his favour.
A CANDIDATE WITHDRAWS.
Auckland, Last Night. Mr. F. S. Morton has withdrawn his candidature for Auckland Central. He informed a deputation that he would accept nomination for Eden as a Liberal if the party approved.
