GERMAN PROSPERITY.
INDUSTRIES BOOMING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 5. The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Chronicle reports the abounding prosperity of German industry. The Harkortsche chemical factory at Gotha holds a record with a combined dividend and bonus of 150 per cent. Another chemical factory paid a, dividend of 30 per cent., and a bonus of 70 per cent., so shareholders recover the capital on the year’s working. Another declared a dividend of 38 per cent, compared with 20 per cent, last year. One mining company increased its dividend from 16 to 30 per cent. The engineering prosperity i<s indicated by the 50 per cent, dividend of the Wotan works, Leipsig. Among minor industries Che Silbacher sugar factory returns 50 per cent., the Hildeschreimer india-rubber goods factories 50 per cent, plus 35 per cent, bonus. All these are selected from one day’s reports. ,
