WEDDING
SAWYER—WAY. 4 St. Andrew’s Church, New Plymouth, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on October 3, when Miss G. E. Way, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Way, of New Plymouth, was married to Mr. E. J. Sawyer, of Gisborne The Rev. O. Blundell officiated. The Ibride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was attired in a graceful frock of white crepe de chine, and cuirass lace with pearl trimmings. Her bridai veil of tulle was arranged with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she earned a bouquet of white flowers. Miss Eunice Holdaway, of Blenheim, attended as bridesmaid, who wore a pretty frock of fawn crepe de chine, and a pink hat, carrying a bouquet &f pink flowers. Mr. Leslie Way, of Wellington, accompanied Mr. Sawyer as best man. The church was prettily decorated by friends of the Ibride. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Hygienic Tea Rooms. The bride received many valuable presents, including an oak clock from the Sunday school teachers, an oak and silver tray suitably inscribed for her past services, from the elders and managers of the church, and also a kitchen tea. The happy couple left for Auckland and Rotorua to spend their honeymoon.
