SALE OF WORK.

•ST. MARY’S CHURCH. The ladies of St. Mary’s Guild had a very good response on the part of the public in connection with their annua] sale of work, which was held in the Sunday •s-chool hall yesterday. During the afternoon and evening £127 was taken by the well-laden stalls, where a multitude of articles, plain and fancy, useful and ornamental were set out in a manner calculated to attract buyers. A feature of the sale was the produce stall, where there was more than the usual variety of articles. The sale, which was opened by the Mayor (Mr. T. E. Wilson), was in aid of the Sunday school building fund. The arrangements were in .the hands of Miss A. Wilson. The following were the stall holders: Fancy: Mesdames Eberlet, George, Mace, Renaud, and Evans. Plain: Mesdames Hill, Wakelin, Eva, and Insull. Flowers: Mesdames A. Webster, Sharp, Clay, and Le May. Miss Jean Robertshaw and Master Sharp. Sweets: Mesdames H. Russell and E. Perry and Mks Russell. Toys: Mesdames Courtney and Hase,.ler, and Misses Audrey, Eberlet, and Eileen Blundell. Jumble: Miss Hamerton and Mrs. Medley. Produce; Mesdames Walker, Hugh Baily, Stanley Shaw and Stocker, and Miss Marshall. Afternoon Tea: Mesdames Lysons, Robertshaw, T. Shaw, Hingston, Sole, Biding, Gibson and Crawford, and Misses F. Winfield, A. Greig and E. Carthew.
