A SOLICITOR’S SUICIDE.

TOLD HIS INTENTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, October 5. An inquest was held .to-day on the body of Patrick Walsh, solicitor. Joseph Trotter, taxi-driver, said that he called at deceased’s office about 9.30 on Saturday night and found Walsh lying on the floor beside a gas ring. Dr. Waddell said that at 2 o’clock deceased, who was under the influence of liquor, told him he was done and intended to commift suicide. Witness told him not to be silly and to go home. Deceased agreed to go home, saying he would fight down the suicidal tendency. The police stated that the gas meter had rim out when they saw deceased. There was half a bottle of whisky in the office. The Coroner found that deceased committed suicide by inhaling coal gas.
