BAZAAR AT FITZROY
CONDUCTED BY METHODIST CHURCH. A very successful bazaar was held at the Fitzroy Methodist Church yesterday and was continued last night. The bazaar was in aid of the building fund,’ and was organised by the Ladies’. Guild, which provided a multitude of articles, useful and ornamental, for the attraction of buyers. The church hall was tastefully decorated, and the goods temptingly displayed, and business was fairly brisk throughout. Mr. J. T. Griffin, superintendent of the Sunday School, performed the opening ceremony, -and in a few words wished the ladies success in their efforts. During the evening an. orchestra rendered a number of musical items, to the enjoyment of all present. The following were the stall-holders: Plain. —Mesdames Rundle, Coutts, Symons and Andrews. Fancy.—Mesdames Kibby and Inch. Produce. —Miss Coutts. Toys.—Mrs. McDougall. Flowers. —Mrs. C. Bellringer. Sweets.—Mrs. Hancock and Misses Hall. Martin and Holden. Cake.—Mesdames J. F. Martin and Holden. Afternoon tea. —Mesdames Hall and Manklehow and Miss Perrott.
