IRREGULARS’ NEW TACTICS. AN ALL-NIGHT FIGHT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Oct. 3, 8.40 p.m. London, Oct. 3. Irish irregulars are using new tactics against many barracks. They consist of the explosion of mines by means of electric cables. Irregulars made numerous attacks in KiUorglin, County Kerry, the fighting lasting all night. The irregulars were driven off and pursued, losing 10 killed and 70 wounded or taken prisoner. The Free Staters had one killed and four wounded. —Reuter Service.

BEATING THE REBELS. CLEARING COUNTY CORK. Received Oct. 3, 8.10 p.m. London, Oct. 2. Free Staters have practically cleared County Cork of rebels, who are retreati.ig towards the Kerry border. Ballyvourney, the rebels’ last stronghold in West Cork, is surrounded and its fall is imminent. HUNT FOR DE VALERA. London, Oct. 2. Messrs, de Valera and Childers are now hunted men. Their peace proposals are well designed to save, not only their faces, but their fives. Mr. Mulcahy is showing determination in stamping out the rebellion. It is humorously significant of the new situation that the old-time Dublin placards “Up de Valera; up Republic” have been replaced for “Fight fair Mulcahy; call off your murder gang.”
