(From Our Own Correspondent.) There was a good attendance at Newton King’s mart sale on Saturday. Bidding was brisk and business was generally on a par with recent sales. Bull calves sold at from 3s Gd to 7s, heifers 14s to 225, weaner pigs 10s to 17s, good slips 20s to 265, sow in farrow 455, rimu fence posts Is 6d each, hens 2s 9d to 4s, p.b. leghorn cock 6s 9d, chickens 7d each.
