ENTERTAINMENTS.

THIS PEOPLE'S. DOUBLE FOX PROGRAMME. The management of the People’s have secured, a double-feature programme for to-night—“ Elope if You Must,” starring Eileen Percy and “The Ragged Heiress,” starring dainty Shirley Mason. “Elope if You Must” is described as a sparkling comedy of marital doings. It’s a swirl from start to finish—almost too speedy for the eye to follow. And through it runs an unbroken chain of amusing complications that keep the spectator in a continuous roar of laughter. The second feature, “The Ragged Heiress,’' is a picture dealing -with the trials and misfortunes of a young girl who has been reared in poverty, ignorant of the fact that she is the rightful possessor of a fortune. The story, as outlined, is one abounding in pathos, sprinkled with delicate humor, and progressing toward a pretty romance and the unravelling of a mystery which is hardly a mystery to the audience. The prices of admission are as usual.

EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF “THE WONDERFUL THING.” Easily the best Norma Talmadge feature we have seen, is “The Wonderful Thing,” shown at Everybody’s for the first time last night. The popular star has here the supreme role of her screen career. As Jacqueline Begg, the only daughter of an American hog king, a finished product of a French convent, she is irresistibly droll. As Mrs. Donald Manncrby she becomes a dramatic figure, and ogee again her father’s daughter she is tragic. One advantage, however, which a drama of love has over a. drama of life is that a happy ending is possible, and one comes in a very satisfying manner in “The Wonderful Thing.” Harrison Ford plays opposite Norma, and handles a prominent role with brilliancy. The final screening of “The Wonderful Thing” is announced for to-night. To-morrow’s change of programme will include the second of the popular “Leather Pushers” short features.
