WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

This year the Wanganui Agricultural Society’s Show will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, November 8 and 9. The big event of the year is close at hand, and the attention of intending exhibitors is drawn to the schedule, which embraces a wide variety of classes, with a valuable trophy and prize list. There will be the usual classes for horses, cattle, sheep, pigs and -fat stock, while the home industries section—which promises to be a big feature of the show—will include classes for produce, soldiers’ exhibits, needlework, cooking, schools’ work, etc. On both days of the show there will be an attractive programme of ring events, and the West Coast Champion Hunters’ Jumping Competition will again be a notable event. In conjunction, the Wanganui Canine Society’s show will be held, and dog enthusiasts are asked to note the attractive prize list open for them. Schedules, or any information. may be had on application to the secretary. Mr. F. G. Seddon. King’s Chambers, Maria Place, or P.O. Box 152. Speeijal attention is directq?! to the closing dates for entries. They are: Home industries, schools, cooking, needlework, etc.. October 28: horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, dogs, November 3. It is requested that competitors should forward entries as early as possible.
