Interviewed, Maclaren said he was somewhat anxious about the team’s batting, but the bowling looks sound. Freeman is certain to succeed Calthorpe, and was one of the main strength. “The Australian State teams will probably beat us,” he added. “We may have to meet McDonald, who is probably returning to Australia.”
