CIRCULAR ROAD RACE. STARTERS IN THE LAST EVENT. The revival of the Taranaki circular road race is creating considerable interest throughout Taranaki, and several correspondents have written asking for information as to the last race. The last circular road 'race was run on September 11, 1913, in wet and cold weather. Sixty-seven nominations had been received, and of these 52 faced the starter, including a number from Australia. Surprisingly good time was put up for the race. P. Q’Shea, Who put up fastest time (5 hr. 25 mln. ♦l4 sec.) clipped nearly Malf-an-hour off the fastest time of the previous years, viz., 5 hr. 54 min. 26 sec., put up by N. Wadinar, of Palmerston North. In 1911, the fastest time was 6 hr. 17 min., put up by the winner, J. Clarke, of Palmerston North. The placed men in the last race were: T. J.
