FATAL ACCIDENT.

NEW PLYMOUTH MAN’S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hawera, Sept. 29. Mr. W. G. Taylor, traveller for Mr. W. F. Short, monumental mason, New Plymouth, was riding a push-bike near Kaupokonui yesterday, when a dog ran out on the road, upsetting him. Mr. Taylor, who was badly injured, was taken to the Manaia private hospital, where he died early this morning. Mr. Taylor, who was a married man with a grown-up family, lived at Smart. Road. He was well known in North Taranaki, having for many years been farming, and more recently carried on business as a newsagent. He had been employed by Mr. Short for from 18 months to two years. The sympathy of the people of the district will be extended to his family in the loss they have sustained.
