Hoot Gibson displays his best abilities in the saddle as well as his finest work as an actor. He is the centre of attraction every minute with ms fast riding and clever tricks. It is a Universal special attraction, in which opportunities are plentiful for the exercise of the talents that have brought the star’s rise from the two-reel class into the top ranks of featured entertainers. The final screening is announced for to-night, and the prices of admission are: D.C. 1/6, stalls Is. EVERYBODY’S. •‘THF. HOUSE OF THE TOLLING BELL.” The feature picture at Everybody’s to-night and to-morrow is “The House of the Tolling Bell.’' Few pictures have .been made which so convincingly carry -the atmosphere of locale. The story is absorbing, and moves with increasing speed as the action reaches its climax. It has to do with the struggle for possession of a half tumble-down manor house, believed by the superstitious natives to harbor “spooks.” The atmosphere of mystery and superstition is closdly interwoven into the theme of the story, and convincingly exploited in the picture. May McAvoy is splendid in the role of a poor little Southern girl, and Bruce Gordon is a considerate and manly hero. Several striking characteristics by other members of the allstar cast are most worthy of praise. Included on the supporting programme there is the third episode of the new serial “Winners of the West.” There will •be the usual matinee to-morrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
