STRATFORD TECHNICAL SCHOOL.

(To the Editor.) Sir,—ln connection with the meeting called at Stratford last week to secure a board of managers for the technical school, I wish to express my entire satisfaction and the absolutely bad management in connection with it. All school committees within a given radius were notified that a meeting would be held at the technical school on Tuesday, 19th inst., at 8 p.m., for the purpose of electing one member to look after the Interests of the country schools. Very good 1 My committee met and appointed two to attend, myself included. I might say that It is not an easy unatter for country representatives to be at the appointed place half an hour before the appointed time, but . this evidently was necessary, judging by results, If the country committees were to have a say in electing a representative. I wish to state that the renresentatives of my committee were at the technical school at a quarter to eight and entered the building at ten minutes to eight, and on making enquiries who was likely to he nominated, were bluntly informed: "Oh! Mr. Boon has been elected unopposed by the Stratford School Committee.” Well done, Stratford, a meeting of country school committees to elect a representative to look after their interest resulted in a town committee pushing a member through considerably before tlime, thereby denying country representatives from having a say. I regret having to take this matter up, but I consider it only fair to explain why my committee, after receiving notice to attend, did not have a say. Thanking you in anticipation.—l am, etc., H. THRUSH. Chairman of Finnerty School Committee.
