At Suncook Village, in New Hampshire, a quarrel over a piece of flannel resulted in the death of two women. Mrs. Goward purchased the piece of goods from a neighbour, Mrs. Carpenter, and when the latter called to collect the money a dispute ensued. Mrs. Carpenter departed, and Mrs. Goward seized a revolver and shot the neighbor in the back, killing her. Then she locked herself up and committel suicide with the same weapon.
