THE LEAGUE GAME. KANGAROOS BEAT BAY OF PLENTY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Rotorua, Last Night. A Rugby League match between the Kangaroos and Bay of Plenty, to-day, proved a decided victory for the Australians, who . outpointed their opponents in most, departments of the game, winning by 29 points to 5. Only in tackling did the Bay of Plenty men hold their own. The first score was made by Gardiner (Bay of Plenty), and J. Rogers converted. The Kangaroos scored seven tries, obtained by Toohey, Burge (2), Gillespie (2), Latta and Robertson, and Burge converted five. Bay of Plenty played a plucky game, but the visitors’ condition and training told, especially towards the end of the game.
