Forty, detectives made a raid on tne Hotel Douglas, in the heart of the Broadway district of New York city, and seized half a million dollars* worm of drugs. It is believed this was the source of a countrywide narcotic supply, the ramifications of which have long engaged the attention of the police in England, Canada and the United States. *
