NELSON COLLEGE BOYS.

MAfCH AGAINST HIGH SCHOOL. VISITORS ENTERTAINED. TEAMS FOR TO-DAY’S GAME. The Nelson College football team, which is to play the New Plymouth High School team at Pukekura Park this afternoon, arrived by the mail train on Saturday night. The team is under the charge of Mr. J. G. McKay, a master of Nelson College, and they were met at the station by Mr. W. H. Moyes, headmaster of the High School, and by members of the school and the ladies and gentlemen who are billeting the visitors during their stay in New Plymouth. Yesterday morning the boys attended a special divine service at St. Mary’s, where the Rev. E. 11. Strong, an old boy of Nelson College, gave a very stirring address with “Service” as the basic idea. Afterwards an enjoyable day was spent at the mountain, the visitors being the guests of old boys of Nelson College. A number of motor-care took a party, of about sixty, comprising the visiting team, the High School first fifteen, old boys of Nelson College and others, and the mountain house wae reached at midday. Glorious weather prevailed and a splendid view was obtained of the mountain and the eurrounding country. After lunch the party broke up into email groups and pleasant tramps were made, the majority following the main track, and some going on to the top of the last ridge leading to Humphries’ Castle. The view from this point was a magnificent one and was thoroughly appreciated by the visitors. On returning to the house Afternoon tea was served, and the party then returned to town. This morning is free for the visitors and this afternoon the match will b( played, commencing at 3 p.m. Tonight a dance will be held at the Higl School, and the Nelson boys returr home by the mail train to-morrow morning. Samson, G. M. Lloyd. Half: A. Irwin. Wing forward: A. Hume. Forwards: R. G. Dalgleish, E. Knyvett, A. Barrett, A. Eady, J. Broad, R. Wood, E. P. Wills. Emergencies: R. Batchelor, R. Stail. HIGH SCHOOL. (Black and white.) Full-back: A. Petty (9.7). Three-quarters: T. N. Foden (11.1), H. W. Brown (11.7) (captain), J. D. Mackay (11.0). Five-eighths: J. T. Shaw (9.5), W. E.
