CRICKET.
McLAREN’S TEAM. Mt. G. E. Dlnniss, secretary of the North Taranaki Cricket Association, has received a communication from the New Zealand Cricket Council, in reply to his telegram and letter of the 18th inst., urging that the English team should visit Taranaki during their tour of the Dominion, and it is stated that the request will be considered at a special meeting of the council to be held in Christchurch next week.
