INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) The euchre party and dance held in the Town Hail on Thursday evening as the wind-up of the annual St. Andrew’s flower and bulb show was very well attended. The ladies’ prize for euchre was won by Miss Walker, and the men’s prize by Mrs. N. King, who took a gentleman’s place for the occasion. Mr. W. E. Henderson, as M.C, and Mr. Murfitt, who supplied the music for the dancing, acquitted themselves to the entire satisfaction of all engaged. Mthough an actual balance is not at present available, it is known that over £lO5 was taken, and that there are yet some separate amounts to come in, so the committee are sure of a substantial sum to the good, for which they worked hard and deserve congratulation. A great deal of sincere sympathy is felt and expressed here with Mr. Matthew Radich in the very sad bereavement he suffered by the death of his little son. Since he has been in business in Inglewood, Mr. Radich has made a very considerable circle of friends and proved a worthy citizen as well.
