METHODIST MISSIONS.

THE LADIES’ AUXILIARY. The annual meeting of the Methodist Ladies’ Misisonary Auxiliary was held in the Methodist Church on Tuesday, the Rev. W. J. Elliott presiding. The report was presented by Miss May Connell (secretary), and the balance sheet by Miss Hodder (treasurer). The income for the year amounted to £52 6s 3d, and the expenditure was £3B 14s 7d, leaving a small balance in hand. From this £lO was voted to the home mission fund, and £2 for clothing to go in a box which is to be sent to the Solomon Islands mission. The following officers were appointed: —President, Mrs. J. T. Griffin (re-elect-ed) ; vice-presidents, Mesdames W. J. Elliottt, M. Connell, J. S. Martin and two others; secretary, Miss May Connell (reelected) ; treasurer, Mies Hodder (reelected) ; executive committee, Mesdames White, King, Bottrill, Sharp, Jemison and Miss Hayden; look-out committee, Mrs. Dickson, Miss Roughton and Miss Tichbon.

The Rev. A. J. Seamer delivered an interesting address upon the work of the deaconess among the Maoris. On Tuesday night Rev. A. J. Seamer and the Rev. Wi Kaitara delivered addresses in the Fitzroy Church,
