A FIRM DEFRAUDED.
EX-EMPLOYEES OPERATING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Thomas Ernest Woodward and William Wilson pleaded guilty to 12 charges of defrauding the D.I.C. of various amounts by alleging that goods had been bought and received from Woodward. The transactions extended over a year, and were revealed by the examination of the company’s books. The amounts in the charges totalled £42 14s. Wilson was head of the carpet department, till he left in July. Woodwaxd was head of the hardware until 1920. Wilson was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment and Woodward to four months’ imprisonment.
