DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS. YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. For the New Zealand golf championship meeting there was an Improvement In weather conditions to-day, a dry course, but with a | cold easterly blowing. It was originally intended to play the semi-finals of the professional championship, but they were postponed till to-morrow. The amateur championship was advanced another stage. In the second round, Duncan, playing Williams, did 73 in the morning—a record for the tournament. He was in for 37 and back in 36. Williams played good golf for 78. Sim--(3 up) did 79, and Black 82. Bidwill was 4 up on Crosse (not completed). Ekstedt was 3 up with 80 on Horton, who was 82. After the afternoon rounds were concluded the results were: Duncan beat Williams, 8 up and 6. Sime beat Black, 6 up and 5. Bidwill beat Crosse, 1 up. Horton beat Ekstedt, 2 up and 1. The professionals’ Challenger ball match was won by Blair and Moss, who were equal with 159. The four-ball handicap was won by Ralph (handicap 2) and Rhind (handicap G), who were 7 up. Fordham (11) and Wilson (8) were 7 up: Stringer (5) and Reed (8) were & up; F. W. Seifert (4) and W. Seifert (2) . were 6 up.
