The Chicago Tribune’s Tsingtao correspondent reports that the Japanese military authorities have despatched an armed force of three hundred into Chinese territory in a final effort to rid the country adjacent to Tsingtao of armed Chinese bandits, who are menacing the city and handicapping the Japanese evacuation in accordance with the Washington Treaty. The Chinese bandit force of three thousand is hovering about the city awaiting the withdrawal of the Japanese in order to start pillaging the rich district. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
